Most fraternities will take sophomores. The top tier fraternities do most of their rush over the summer in the form of recruiting events in major Texas cities and on campus during orientations/throughout the summer and have their pledge classes locked in by the time school starts. The middle tier fraternities and below will have rush events over the summer and during the first couple weeks of school, all you have to do is show up to some events and meet the brothers and hopefully you'll get a bid somewhere you feel you fit in.
