will being in a sorority harm my grades?
by: GirlI really want to get into the nursing school at UT Austin. I plan on doing an internal transfer and striving for at least a 3.8 gpa. I wanted to know if sororities will be too much of a distraction? Or would joining organizations/spirit groups be better.

Sororities have much higher GPAs than spirit groups and lots of girls are in the nursing school. No one's gonna pressure you to go out. If you want to hunker down at the house, by all means do it. You'll boost the chapter average lol. I'd recommend not giving in to fomo and going out on week days. There will be week night mixers that first year, but you don't have to go. You'll always have second semester to go HAM once you get into the program
