duessss/cost
by: Deesseok so I was wondering what a freshman at any sorority would pay for the year. Can anyone lemme know? Also, I know I could find the dues and shiz on the sorority website but I want a an actual figure that includes all sorority related costs too. Please mention if it includes dining/housing.

Excessive dues is the largest complaint by both pledges and actives, including Chapter overcharges and blatant Officer skimming. It is more of a concern and a threat to UT Greek Life that hazing.

First semester be prepared to pay $2,000+, mine were around $2,400 for the first semester and about $1,400 for the second semester. That doesn't include dining or housing for freshmen. Then be prepared to spend $200+ for every date event you have (and that's a modest figure) because you pay for your dates dinner, ubers, not to mention a dress and alcohol. TX OU weekend is expensive, expect $350 or more. Roundup, same thing, around $300, spring break (depending on where you go) but most freshmen go to FL, which ends up being close to $1,000. Also if you are wanting to buy shirts for all of your events they're $20 probably once a month. Be prepared to have a good amount of spending money every month too for things I didn't mention - probably around $400 for going out, eating out, bday dinners, etc. It's expensive but so worth it. Hope this gave you a ball park figure

Only an idiot goes into something with no idea how much something is. I will have absolutely no issues at all paying for any of that, but I still want to know what to expect....it is called financially responsible.
