There is a small group in almost every sorority that goes to Young Life, it definitely isn't a necessary thing but you will be able to find people if that is something you are interested in. Sororities don't really view it in any particular way. However, it is a good networking opportunity to not only meet girls outside your sorority but to meet like-minded people.

What the person said above. Campus ministries are creepy to me. They prey on your vulnerabilities and often try to shut you off from the outside world. Veiled scare tactics and extreme judgment are common. Might be better to try and befriend like-minded people in your chapter, or be around more mature believers at a church unaffiliated with the school. Older adults in the church have some perspective on life, they've been through a lot. They are more open-minded and wise on average. They see that the things in this world are not always black-and-white. I myself and many others have been really burned out by campus ministries because it's all about striving. You're not taught about grace, you're not taught about nuance. Fire and brimstone tactics. As for YL, these problems definitely manifest. They basically corral these young kids and try to shelter the hell out of them, and when those kids grow up and real life hits them like a 500 pound brick, more often than not it shatters that perfect little condensed image of God that YL teaches. Like 9 out of 10 people I know who were in YL as kids have walked away from the faith altogether.

Other note, if you're NOT a fan of Calvinism and deterministic views, I would caution you away from the Austin Stone. But if you are, go for gold. There are many solid arguments for those belief systems.
