Why are kids from small towns considered acceptable to the top tier but suburb kids are not?

small town kids that rush at UT are usually very wealthy from families with lots of history in their respected towns. Also they usually attend the big camps

It is simply impossible to have family "history" in a suburb. What has it existed for a whooping 20 years?

This is such broad, ridiculous generalizing.

Listen to yourselves! You need to really grow up and get a life. Who says such crap but the loser that has to live such an isolated joke of life.

The question was asked and answered and you don't like the truth. I didn't make the rules, I just play by them. It's pretty much the same for frats but guys are a little easier on suburbs than the girls. Not much but a little. Most of these people end up in the middle tier and love it, so why complain?

And most of you so called wealthy people are living way beyond your means also. People move in and out of your neighborhoods too because they can't afford the taxes. None of you kids at any income level truly knows what your parents really own and what kind of debt they might be in. You just assume that the kind of house you live in, the car you drive, and the way you dress is a sign of rich. You don't care as long as your personal needs are met.

That happens in the suburbs way more than in older, more established neighborhoods in the city. It's just on a much smaller scale and then they can't go to Abercrombie anymore.

Bet more of the "city kids" have families living beyond their means and up to their eyeballs in debt than the "suburb kids" you have such contempt for. Your probably in some old money family with parents who never did anything themselves and you're living off your own little trust fund that'll be run out in a generation.

You smoking rocks? What are these hypothetical wealthy schools without sororities. Most of the top schools in the country have strong Greek systems. Idiot.

Yeah Greek systems are definitely mostly for middle class people, which is why most US Presidents, half of Congress, and tons of Fortune 500 CEOs were Greek. And which is why no rich private schools have Greek life. Wait...

Wellesley, Boston College, Agnes Scott, Bryn Mawr, Smith, etc.

These are where the real old money girls go and, sorry, no sororities

What, the ones who couldn't get into Yale, Cornell, Stanford, USC, etc. all of which DO have sororities?

You're basically saying that the small number of mostly New Englanders who go to a handful of tiny liberal arts colleges in the Northeast make up all the old money and/or wealthy in general girls.

I think the point is that (A) Income level doesn't = classiness and (B) no matter how much money you have, there's always someone with more looking down on you. I have to agree that sororities are, with some random exceptions, a middle class thing
