do chapters cut based on grades?
by: WonderingDo all of the sororities cut based on grades below a 4.0, or is grade cutting not really a thing (besides having like lower than a 3.5) since you had to be smart to get into UT anyway?

No, each sorority has different focuses, if you are interested in sororities that are academically focused than grade cutting is definitely something that can happen. But also rush is an oppurtuntiy to shine so if you cna leave a mark with your personality and actually make them remember you that can win over grades. But yeah grade cutting happens so if you do have a lower GPA I would focus more on sororityS known for other things like philanthropy or social especially if you were active in extracirriculars.

No chapter worth a damn REALLY cares about grades. When we see excellent grades, we think "oh that's nice! Yet another reason to give them a bid" but grades do not make you a better person. They are secondary to your interpersonal relationships, interests, and skills. Every girl coming to UT has relatively good grades. Grades are what you try and pride yourself on if you're getting leftovers and need something to reinforce the idea your sorority is worth joining.
