If y'all feel like you have to stuff these girls into boxes, then here is the truth:

Pi Phi-Kappa-Theta (Alpha Order)

In these houses you have to know someone, your parents have to be someone (think daughter's of presidents of large banks, daughter's of owners of large ranches, daughter's of politicians, daughter's of professional ball players, daughter's of presidents of the Junior League) These girls have been going to Camp Longhorn, Camp Mystic and Camp Waldemar. They go to high schools where you interview to get in or you have owned a house for ages in a school district of importance. They have been performing the segregation games long before most anyone even thought about Greek Life at the University of Texas. You have to have some personality, but the bottom line reality is these girls have been sporting the sorority letters of grandmother's, aunts, camp members, sisters, etc, the whole lives. They can be nothing but PKT. If you go through rush believing that you are a perfect snowflake and that they can't say no to you, you are wrong. There are better places for you anyway, because these girls play with a different rule book. You can't buy this book, it is given to you by your parents. No rush consultant can buy it for you, give it to you or sell it to you. And they didn't buy it either. It is passed down generation to generation. Do you get the point?

I actually agree to some extent. I think the lines are more blurred between each tier...like a girl can pref APhi/DG or DDD/PiPhi or ZTA/AXO....but it doesn't go much beyond that. A girl isn't going to pref KD/PKT or AXO/Theta. That just doesn't happen often. But that doesn't mean a KD doesn't have a parent who is a surgeon or a mom who is JL president. Or that all PKT are filthy rich. Just some basic descriptions that are fairly accurate. Overall, I think the person who posted this had very positive things to say about every group.

You might not like it, but she's telling it like it is. Just keep in mind, that's why there are more than 3 sororities on campus.

It is sick but really is true.....good thing there are other awesome chapters for rest of us!

There has to be a place for those few young ladies that are clueless and need guidance and direction to live away from home to find a man. Sad but true!
