pi kapp or phi psi?
by: helpWill be attending UT in the Fall and am trying decide between Pi Kapp and Phi Psi. My bro is a Pi Kapp at Bama and it's one of the top houses there but I don't wanna base my decision to pledge a fraternity simply based off legacy. Phi Psi has a great house but have been hearing the guys are very weird. Pi Kapp has their old house and has been improving but I don't know much else

Every fraternity at UT is good in its ways and every other one is bad. Phi Psi has a great house but it's a terribly run fraternity. Pi Kapp is definitley upper bottom tier / lower mid tier, but they're a great group of guys. Phi Psi is a mid tier fraternity, but in my opinion almost every fraternity has a better group of guys then them. If you're not looking to go top (Fiji, Sigma Chi, ZBT, Sig Ep, Delt, KSig, KA, TX Rho) look into mid tier fraternities like Pike, Sammy, Phi Delt, Lamda Chi, ATO (they're gonna be put on probation). Other than the ones I mentioned, they're good fraternities but just don't have a big presence on campus or socially just their niche (Theta Chi, DKE, Delta Chi, etc.) The top tier is filled with those 8 fraternities and you'll have a great time with those. The other 6 mid tiers are also great fraternities but be it dues, house, probation or sorority relations have stuff they need to work on but they ALL have great things going for them.

Neither. I wouldn't trust phi psi. During rush they acted like salesman who were trying to pressure us into joining... not a good look. The actives on exec just literally got kicked out of the fraternity by alumni... take that how u will. Their house is sick tho but who knows if they'll get their act together by the time you graduate
At least people talk about phi psi. I've never heard a girl even mention Pi kapp. They're not really on the radar... they have a lot of minorities so if that's you then rush them u may fit in\n\n\n\n\n

Phi Psi has great intentions and their alum took over because they were stuck in college and wanted power from the money they invested in the house, it had nothing to do with the exec. Pi Kapp is a little odd and I never see girls there. Phi psi has more parties if that is what you are into.

Spot on about Pi Kapp. They're nice guys, but no social presence at all. Barely heard of them and when I do it isn't good things. I feel that Phi Psi has a better social presence as far as parties. Pi Kapp does have a lot of minorities, not saying its a bad thing though.
