transfer

by: Question

Im thinking of transferring to UT as a junior. I was in a sorority at my old university but I'm not sure if I want to be in greek life this time around. Is it really hard to have a social life if you're not in greek life down there?

Not really, only something like 10-15% of the student population is in greek life. Most of the social value you get out of being in a sorority happens your freshman year (mixers, bid night parties, etc.) anyway.

It is Austin - there are lots of opportunities for a social life. But you should get to know your potential sisters before deciding. You might find great friends there.
