by: UTTired of all the talk about the big six. I personally like the Core Four...DG, AXO, ADPi, and APhi. These girls are smart, involved and kind.. they make the Greeks look good and are the heart of the Greek system.

they're kind of right. SDT is a lot smaller, but honestly the Core Four just seems to be an attempt to put themselves in a category above AXiD, AEPhi, and KD. SDT hadn't done formal rush and are very small, but in the case of the other three, the difference between them and the "Core Four" isn't that big in numbers or any major aspect.

Interesting topic. It is kind of like SRD vs Hardin. Hardin is traditionally filled with girls that typically go Big Six. SRD, IMO is a much nicer facility, better food (yes I have eaten at both) and yet, TRADITION drives girls who are Big Six legacies to dominate in Hardin. SRD is filled with "core 4" and Big 6 girls but I would say Hardin is 80% Big Six. And if you are a PNM reading this, that does not mean if you live in Hardin you go big 6. It means girls who mommas went to UT and stayed at Hardin and were Big 6 so the trend continues. So just because something is traditional, does not make it better. It is just different.

Kd is a wonderful strong sorority but really only strong in the south....the core 4 have more of a national presence...but if you get a bid from kd and you like them, take it!

Guess that is why SRD is at full capacity years in advance (guess the Big 6 girls were too busy to get on the waiting list would be the real reason they end up at Hardin, LOL!) And remind me, how did you know you were going to be in Big 6? Travel the nation and everyONE that is anyONE has heard about Texas and SRD. Be honest, you didn't get into SRD so Hardin is your second choice. Hardin has plenty of extra rooms right up to moving in day. But honestly, who choices Hardin over SRD? I didn't think so (Love the quote Big 6, works well once again).
PS calm down Big 6!
