how does financial obligations work for fraterniti

by: Pledge

What is the average cost of a fraternity, and is this same cost payed yearly or is it reduced after you become an active?

Do you pay a lot for freshman dues?

Is payment required on a month to month basis or what?

I'm really looking forward to pledging but i need to know the basics of the financial requirements first! thanks

tend to range from $800-3000+ per semester (some really small ones might even be cheaper), and they tend to go down every year or at least when you are a junior and senior.

will be 7000+ after all of the social assessments etc.

That's too high per semester for both the upper middle and top tier houses.

On paper dues probably range from $1000-6000 a year. Lowest dues for a houses fraternity are in the ballpark of $1500. I'd recommend not just joining on a budget though, cause any under about $2000/year will have a pretty limited social calendar/budget more than likely.
