national reputations--not tiers

does anyone know the reputations of the groups at the national level? I'm NOT talking about tiers...I mean what are they known for (some stricter than others, more diverse, more emphasis on scholarship, etc)? Or all they all the same?

Reputations tend to vary more by school and make up of the chapter than by letters.

I would find these rankings to be pretty much right on the money! Funny, I've never seen it written, but it's the truth. Sure some campuses are different but for the most part, this is accurate. I would add Gamma Phi Beta, as plain, chubby, sweet girls and DZ as unattractive, like TKE at most schools, kind of a joke.

who says these are accurate national reputations is gratifying themselves. These are incredibly narrow and if you think they apply to most, much less all schools, then just wow haha.

I would word it more like this...
Pi Phi = popular but hazing issues
Kappa = wealthy girls, very into family wealth
Theta = brainy, conservative
Tri-Delt = popular
Chi O = down to earth
Zeta = Southern, wild
DG = wild west coast girls
APhi = average, nice girls
AXO = fun but loose standards
ADPi = Southern, conservative

Tri Delt is better than Theta and Kappa also.

IMO, DDD would probably edge out one of the PKT as top 3 nationally, won't say which, but are you talking about a specific place.

Like p and k have too many hazing/standards issues around the country these days to be considered top anymore, Theta had fallen but doesn't have these issues so I still think Theta is better

P and T have had a lot of disciplinary issues lately, but Theta's chapters and general popularity has been declining and they've gotten a kind of boring goody-good rep at a lot of schools. Given the relative decline and issues PKT has been having, and the increasing popularity of houses like Tri Delt, XO, Zeta, etc, there really isn't such a clear cut top 3 nationally.

There are no national reputations such as these listed. It is ridiculous to even try. EVERY sorority has its strong and weak chapters. There is no way, absolutely NO WAY, anyone knows if these assertions are correct. Cross checking all over Greek Rank is like writing your senior thesis with WIKI facts as your primary source. Please!

Pi Phi just closed its chapter at Syracuse University, huge greek school, because of poor recruitment/inability to keep membership. The top sororities there are KKG, TriDelt, APhi. So - EVERY sorority has strong and weak chapters.
