how to get noticed ahead of time by sororities?
by: :)I know that a lot of people are "dirty rushed" ahead of time by many of the sororities after they follow them on social media and things like that. How can I put myself onto the sororities radar? Before rush starts for next year would it be weird for me to follow the different sororities on Instagram and such? I'm genuinely interested in learning about the overall attitude of each one.

Your best bet is to put UT '22 in your instagram bio and make your insta public. Following the actual sororities won't do anything. Find a few girls with their letters in their bio and follow them. It's hard to make connections if you don't know anyone. As soon as panhellenic registration opens get your application in because the sororities get lists of which girls register!! If you go visit UT be nice to eeeeeveryone, everyone. Make a really good impression during rush - you'll end up where you're supposed to be.

if you feel like it would be awkward, don't invite yourself. instead, text the girls letting them know you're coming to ut, and feel free to ask them any questions about rush stuff or school stuff. start a conversation, and that will put you on their radar. then they can invite you if they feel comfortable with it.
round up is a big fraternity party event. most chapters don't take rushees because it's not the best environment for getting to know the members of the chapter, since everyone's partying for three days straight. also, rushing is a lot of work and most girls just want to have fun round up weekend without worrying about high schoolers lol

Do we contact them and ask if we can come visit? I know lots of girls but not really well....I am not sure they would think to invite me to come stay but I think they like me if that makes sense. Seems kind of awkward to reach out and invite myself. Do girls do that?
Also, why not round up?
