spirit groups vs. fraternities?

I am going to be a freshman at UT next year and a friend of mine's older brother is a Texas Wrangler alum. I was wondering peoples thoughts/views on the Wranglers? How do they compare to a fraternity?

thing, so you can't really compare them directly. They also aren't mutually exclusive, you can be in a fraternity and a spirit group, so there is a lot of crossover.
