how do you get on rush lists for upper tier frats?
by: RusheeI'm a high school senior, and I want to rush next year, but I'm not sure how to get on rush lists for upper tier frats because most of their websites don't have rush captains listed. I've heard the IFC won't get you contacted by good frats. Is this true?

Any of your relatives or friends who know somebody in the chapter or an alumni can probably get you on the rush list, and then one of the rush captains will text you from there to invite you to parties or stuff during your orientation etc. Also, rush doesn't really start until late second semester, so you've got a lot of time. On another note, 98% of the stuff on this site is garbage. If you're a high school senior, don't listen to any of the crap people post on Greek Rank. I promise nobody really cares about tiers - there are cool guys and girls in just about any chapter at UT and cool people who aren't a part of Greek Life. Also, there are cute and nice girls who hang out with just about every fraternity here at UT. UT is a massive school, and there are plenty of people worth hanging out with besides the 1% of the student body who is in a "top tier" fraternity or sorority. Hope this helps.

Do they have to have been members at UT or would a relative who went to another school's chapter be able to help me out somehow?
