soph transfer

Im transferring in the spring as a sophomore & due to my major im going to probably stay an extra year or semester... do i have a good chance at rushing or should i not bother because im “older” & a transfer? Is there even a spring rush or just wait till the fall?

There are a fair amount of sophomore pledges here on campus. I think a lot of fraternities do have a spring rush as well. I've never seen a junior pledge though.
