do minorities ever go through rush?
by: questionI'm biracial and I've been accepted to UT for the fall. But I've always been told UT is similar to Bama in that minority girls don't stand a chance. Are there any minorities who go through and are successful?

Jenn dont give up. I can tell you that over time the "top 6" will change. All the sororities at UT are very good and truthfully very selective- if you are not pretty, good grades, extra cirricular etc. etc. race wont matter because who you are is who they are going to see first - so dont give up- put your best foot forward and try- its worth it- best decision I ever made really

People trolling about race, it's always a moving goal line, and most of them are almost certainly not actually people interested in joining. Most are probably white anti-Greek trolls trying to pat themselves on the back in all honesty. Texas NPC/IFC Greek life is pretty diverse, especially among Southern schools with old Greek systems, but the more diverse we get the more we're faulted for not going far enough. They're the same kind of people who eventually ask why we don't all make our organizations coed.

This is why the days of the "top 6" are coming to an end.....the rest of the groups have been open to diversity and they are stronger for it. Why do you think some of the big 6 have been having to snap bid? And the middle have no trouble making quota...
