This is well known throughout NPC. There's nothing secret about it. And this is nationally, not rankings at UT. Nationally I would say DG is the organization that has gained alot of strength over the past five years.

KKG, DDD, PiPhi, XO, KAT, DG, APhi (known as the seven sisters)
AXO, ZTA, GPhiB, DZ, ADPi, KD, AZD
PM, AGD, AOPi, SK, SSS
DPE, AEP, SDT,
AST, ASA, PSS, TPA

the 7 sisters.

Your "7 sisters" are the groups that came together for form the NPC. Unfortunately, APhi has not remained as strong as the others so they would fall into the 2nd or 3rdrow. KD, DZ and AXO can really compare to the other groups so they should move down a notch but still above PM, etc. And why in the world would you put AZD that high? The rest of it is fairly accurate

why DZ would be above Phi Mu, I might switch those. AXiD is probably more comparable to AGD, SK, and AOPi, and Alpha Phi aren't really on a different level than Zeta, KD, ADPi or AXO.

Learn your history before you post the wrong facts. The original "Seven Sister" sororities that founded the NPC in 1902 are Alpha Phi, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Gamma, Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Kappa Gamma and Pi Beta Phi. All the others came later. These seven are also known as the Edgewater Sororities and their leadership continues to meet in secret.

Yes there is an Edgewater and they continue to meet but you have your groups wrong. You would probably be surprised to know who the groups are it might now be what you'd expect... but that is secret. They know who they are and that is all that matters.

No. She has the correct houses that are Edgewater. If you house isn't one of the ones mentioned and you've been told it is, you've been lied to. Sorry, but we all know it.

by your logic, either you are a non-Greek who doesn't have anything to do over spring break and so your making fun of Greeks who supposedly aren't doing anything over spring break, which makes no sense, or you are a worthless Greek who isn't doing anything over spring break (since smart phones haven't been invented yet and no one could check this site in Florida). The real question here is how whoever wrote this post got in to UT.

Let's get real. What sorority girl is going to put another above her own? Why shouldn't they?

I've worked at the national level for my sorority. This is how the NPC groups are seen.

PiPhi, Kappa, Theta - Elite and wealthy. Typically only at top-notch schools. Theta is beginning to lose ground, especially in the SEC where they have a plethora of weak chapters.
XO, DDD - DDD was struggling for a but, but has made vast improvements in the last few years.
DG, ZTA, APhi - DG dropped a notch since they have a lot of struggling chapters in the South. APhi has really improved based on some successful colonizations at large schools. ZTA also has had some strong colonizations and has become more selective with their colonizations.
ADPi, AXO, KD - ADPi and KD tend to be more regional like the South although KD is making great strides in the West and Midwest. AXO is strong in the West, but not really anywhere else.
Gamma Phi, AOPi, Phi Mu, DZ - DZ keeps falling. Phi Mu has some great SEC chapters, but that's it. Gamma Phi and AOPi are colonizing everywhere to the detriment of their other chapters. Resources are spread thin so they have a lot of weak chapters and colonies.
AGD, SK, AXiD - AGD has gotten better, but still has more weak chapters than strong chapters.
DPhiE, AEPhi - DPhiE is way above AEPhi since they've really tried to diversify where they colonize.
SSS, PSS, SDT - Tend to be at small schools.
ASA, AST, TPA - Not a lot of money nationally so can't compete with the other NPCs.

PiPhi, Kappa, Theta are no longer considered "elite and wealthy". This was their reputation for the 1st half of the 1900s. By the later 1900s the distribution of "elite and wealthy" began to be spread among the regionally strong chapters. Women began to independently select groups based on their local rushing strengths - not so much what grandma did 50 years ago. My national does not think that the old reputations and stigmas from the early 1900s are current today. \n\n\n\n\n

This is a true representation of what is going on in the Greek world as far as how colonizatiion has affected the different chapters.

The nationals with the most consistently highly ranked chapters nationally are:

Kappa, Theta, Phi Pi, Alpha Phi, DG, Tri-Delta, Chi-O

This is just the way it is. Some of the regional Southern sororities are stronger in the South. The only less prestigious chapters of Kappa, Theta, Phi Pi, Alpha Phi are located in the South. Everywhere else in the country these are the top groups on campus in rushing strength. DG, Tri-Delta, Chi-O strongest chapters are in the South and this helps them nationally but in other regions, overall, they rush behind the top four.

And these top 7 groups have learned how to pull up their lower tier chapters while extending strategically to prestigious schools.

APhi is strengthening in the south by rushing the attractive girls and are being selective about expansion by going into academically elite schools like Yale, Stanford, etc....smart plan that has made them even stronger overall.

I'd add Zeta to the list to make it the top 8. They're very strong in the south and have a lot of top chapters in the Midwest and north. They've also had some awesome colonizations at elite schools like Vandy and Cal.
