Yes, if at any point during the week a pnm is not invited to any chapters for the next round, she'll receive a call from her Rho Chi.
The only way a pnm would not receive a bid after attending Pref parties is if she suicides (i.e., does not maximize her options by listing every Pref party she attended on her pref card) and does not get a bid from the chapter she did list. Her Rho Chi would call to let he know she did not get a bid before Bid Day begins.

Honestly, getting completely released from rush is VERY rare. It happens but usually those pnms had no recs, low grades, or "questionable" moral reputation.
What is much more common is pnms who withdraw during the week because they aren't happy with the chapters they have left- ie, pnms from a certain set of high schools will withdraw after Big 6 releases them even if they have a full schedule of other houses. It's the ridiculousness that is Texas rush.
If you are truly open to accepting a bid from all houses because you can see that every house is strong AND you are invited to pref and list each house you attended on your pref card (no "suiciding"), you are GUARANTEED a bid to one of your pref houses.
