axid / pan love
by: HonestlyHey guys! So I transferred to UT last year and was an AXiD at another school and reaffiliated here. I got on GreekRank and read some horrible things about the girls in this chapter here (and many other chapters as well) some things thrown out about the chapter here was that the girls were "awkward" or "rejects" or just "okay looking" this intimidated me because I was nervous I wouldn't fit in and I came from a school where AXiD was deemed a good sorority. Well I came to find out all of the girls were genuine, funny, pretty, and very social. They mixed with lots of different fraternities and some dated guys in sigma chi & FIJI (this doesn't even matter to me but so many people seem to care who mixes with who lol) I loved all the new friends I made and was confused on all the things I had read about them on here. I guess I just wanted to address the posts and it hurts my heart how divided Greek life is here. We should be supporting other women and chapters and putting down the stereotypes. It is saddening to be proud of the women you surround yourself with then get on this website and read things written by people who don't even personally know the girls. Every chapter has stereotypes and every one is hurt by them. I hope girls going through rush will follow their heart and not be scared by the negative things written on this website. I wish everyone good luck with recruitment and hope some people are influenced by this post to be supportive of one another!

I'm a guy and don't care about the status of a sorority. First, I look at the outside...and trust me i've seen way better looking AXiD's than ADPi's, KD's, or even some Pi Phi's. Secondly, from the ones I have met, they are chill and fun...not necessarily rager types like a good amount of AXO, APhi, and Zeta which can be annoying. I really don't care if they have 150 girls vs 224.6

Nice try, alum! You don't even sound like a guy. Guys are not out there preferring AXD, I can assure you, not even with their silly new copy-cat video attempting to paint them in some positive light.
It's not working. Nobody wants to be AXD.

The OP wrote a really nice post about her sorority and not one of you showed any panhellenic support or kindness. I think that is terrible. And to the Op, I am glad you found joy with your sorority and you are right there are some wonderful girls in your organization.

I just don't understand the need to tear other people down. Just encourages my negative view towards UT Greek life

I was in a low mid tier fraternity and AXiD was the only sorority who would hang out with us regularly, we never had any complaints. Fun girls, many of them quite pretty and down to earth since they weren't artificially propped up by the status of their sorority. Remove the letters and you'd have a hard time telling some of them apart from some of the mid tier sorority girls at first glance.

Coming from a prospective rushie, this post made me really happy. I've been afraid I have to follow what this site says about which sororities are good and which aren't. I just want to find a home in a group of girls who I can call my sisters in the good and bad. Thanks for this post. I have no clue where I'll end up, but I hope I meet someone as sweet as you. Thanks for ceasing my fears and I'm sorry some girls on here are really negative.

This site is full of hate. No wonder no sorority is in a hurry to colonize here. I think what happens is that more OOS girls, first time Greek, etc don't care about "tiers" and join whatever group they want. That causes the mean girl to come out and double down on how horrible one group is vs. another. If you check out one org's Instagram vs another, take the letters away and you wouldn't be able to tell one from another.

What major do most of their sisters have? If it's a harder major, then gpa is bound to be lower.

These girls are way nicer and cuter an a lot of girls in other sororities. There sisterhood is real and I end up hanging out with them all the time. If I could go back I would rush AXiD in a heartbeat.
