Here's what you do ladies: pledge Theta at Ole Miss (an easy school to get into and an even easier sorority to pledge) then, transfer to UT. Voila!

get treated like crap and wish you just stayed at LSU or Ole Miss! No sororities at UT has much need for transfer girls! And poor Theta, well their selection is getting thinner and thinner by the years.

I honestly think Theta has been doing better than Pi Phi and Kappa since I've been at UT.

Remember a chapter does not have to take a transfer happens more than you'd think.

So let me get this straight.....IF you were smart enough to get into UT , BUT you decline to go to Ole MIss , or worse LSU. YOU are potentially changing your life's path because of which sororitie's letters you wear?????? Nevermind, someone with your mentality will NEVER get into UT. Stay drunk and naked at lsu or ole miss. Miss Theta

is at least somewhat better than Ole Miss academically, although Ole Miss definitely has the better Greek system.

Theta also sucks at Bama and Auburn.

Kappa is terrible at Auburn and South Carolina.

Pi Phi is toward the bottom at Ole Miss and Mississippi State, lower middle at Bama and Kentucky. Also marginal at UGA, but that's not the easiest school to get into.

Chi O is tough -- in the South it's bad only at UF, but that's not an easy school to get into either.

Tri Delt is pretty bad at Mississippi State.

ZTA is choking-on-butthair-bad at Mississippi State, only slightly less sucky at Tennessee.

of SEC schools, Florida, Georgia, Vandy, A&M and Alabama all have relatively difficult admission standards (Vanderbilt is the only one that's actually tougher to get into than UT though).

Do you figure? Bama's acceptance rate is 44%, Auburn's is 70%.

Besides the fact that your comments are terribly rude (Big Six Cheat Sheet) they are way off the mark. I could tell you what I've "heard" also, but instead I'll tell you what I know to be true. My sister is a very active ZTA at Mississippi State and they do not have the reputation you so eloquently described above. They have girls in all major organizations (Student Govt. leaders, Pom Squad, Diamond Girls, Road Runners, Orientation leaders, etc.) and the current Miss MSU (selected in October) is a ZTA. You must've gotten your info from a Mississippi girl because their top choices are Chi O and KD. Actually, all the chapters there are very strong. ADPi is coming on campus this January and Kappa in Fall 2014. ZTA, DDD and PI Phi do tend to go after the strong out of state girls (ZTA is heavy on Florida and Georgia girls) - funny that those are the three sororities you mentioned being easy to get into. Don't think they're easy to get into, you still need to bring your A game to rush. It is an SEC school, after all. I will admit, however, that Miss State is an easy school to get into. My sister is there (on scholarship) for a specific program. But, she loves the school and she loves ZTA.

I know most of what is on this site is just people talking smack, but I just couldn't let that above comment go without setting the record straight. Btw, I love my sorority here at UT, but I think all the chapters are full of lovely, smart and accomplished women!!!

Pi Phi is not Old Row at Bama, but it is nowhere near a bottom tier sorority there; easily mid to upper-mid. It's mid to lower-mid at Auburn. UGA is NOT the easiest to get into! LOL! Girls who can't cut it academically at UGA usually transfer to Auburn, which is much easier to get into than Alabama. The Pi Phi's I have known from Ole Miss were awesome girls; and the chapter at LSU is not easy to get into.
Theta is terrible at Auburn, but is a fairly new sorority there. It's getting better at UA, but is not that great at Ole Miss or LSU.
Kappa is bottom tier at AU, but pretty good and Old Row at UA.
ChiO is top tier at most SEC schools.
ZTA is not that bad at MSU (wtf?!?!?), and is one of the oldest sororities on that campus (ChiO is the best there); mid-tier at AU and UA, but better at UA than AU.
Tri Delt is "old money" at UA, mid-tier at AU, top tier at UT and good at Ole Miss; usually nice girls from affluent families.

Regardless, this idea of a cheat sheet is garbage. This is creating stereotypes that could potentially hurt transfer students, who might make great sisters if they affiliate. I agree that people should not be accepted blindly, but transfers deserve a fair chance.

Ole Miss: 1572

get your facts right. Pretty sure you hardly need a functioning brain to get into Ole Miss. If you are going to choose a school based on their greek system or try to transfer schools just so you can be in a sorority that is top tier at UT, you probably belong at Ole Miss anyway..

If your sorority is so classy, then why do you have to promote? Makes us wonder that maybe things have changed and you didn't get the memo years ago. LOL!

It's a little risky. You have to have a very high GPA to transfer to UT.
