I heard they recomciled with their nationals and may be back as KA as soon as next semester. They definitely declined some since they became Omicron though.

By: Nope.

they are good. No longer have the numbers that Fiji, SAE, KSig, SigEp have, but I'd be a Omicron any day of the week over any of the lower tiers.

I wouldn't, they no longer have the connections, and if they don't reaffiliate, they will continue to decline.

Why would anyone even consider a Local that might not be around in 2-3 years?

National wants them back. From what it hear, Omicron is happy on their own for now, but will probably reaffiliate later this year. They are good guys and it's admirable how they stood up to their national.

always rumors about them coming back to KA, but that's clearly never going to happen based on the lawsuit and what was said in the letter from KA nationals. If anything, they'll affiliate in a few years with another national like Sigma Nu just for the purposes of image. They still have a lot of alumni support, so they're pretty stable.

By: There's

If they affiliate with a different national their alumnae housing people who are all members of KA will presumably take their house. They're in a really bad situation.

You're dumb, Omicron's housing corp just voted to cut ties with KA, and would presumably vote to join another national fraternity if that would be the best plan for Omicron. They're actually in a pretty great situation.

voted to cut ties with KA. Most of that 90% would probably be willing to affiliate with another national if they were convinced it was in the chapter's best interest. Would be complicated, but probably necessary.

Aside from the fact that they are number one at some schools, that doesn't really mean much of anything. They're still top tier at more Southern/SEC schools than anyone except SAE and SX, and beyond that, most schools don't have a clear #1. They are very strong in the South. As for going downhill, that's true.

That's just reality. The only antebellum frat founded in the South, real confederates, real southern history. Southern Aristocats Everywhere.

Technically Delt was too. It was founded in what is now West Virginia, but was Virginia then, before the Civil War.

those plus SAE and possibly Delt make up the fraternities (at least the big ones I'm aware of) that were founded in the South. For the most part they're all pretty successful in the South too, so it obviously doesn't hurt.
