fraternity truth

I keep being told by older girls to never go to any frats besides fiji, sae, ksig, and sigep. Are the other ones really that much worse?

Do what makes YOU happy, this top tier BS is ridiculous. NO.. The other fraternities here besides the aforementioned are great as well.. Just like the ALL of the sororities. Quit grouping frats together and decide on your own. Same goes for sororities.. Quit singling yourselves out! Also don't listen to "older sorority girls that clearly are soo insecure that they would engage in tearing down fellow Greeks.. Not mature, not classy, and clearly these girls are judgmental. Hold yourself to higher standards!

Wouldn't listen. Yeah those are the wealthiest and some of the oldest fraternities at UT, and they are certainly the top tier, but it's really selling our Greek life short to say they're the only ones worth anything. UT's got one of the best Greek systems in the country, and to say there are only a handful of good/fun groups is kind of insulting the quality of the Greek Life. visit wherever, and decide where you have fun, and don't base your judgement solely on tradition.

Fiji SAE & Sig Ep are top 3 and not much is changing thurrrrr. KA was once ahead, sigma chi is movign up, k sig is moving up but its like the big 6 kinda deal, its not changing

Those guys are the wealthiest, have the most connections, go to the right high schools, have the nicest houses, and most members.

However, not all girls run in their social status circles and can fit in better with the Delts, Sigma Chis, Pikes etc. Go where you have fun.

if you're in greek life at UT, odds are you have money. Houses and property have a lot more to do with the alumni contributions than the actual active chapter of the fraternity.

very true to both of you. Fiji, SAE, Sig Ep, and KSig probably have the richest guys per capita, but I'm sure not everyone in those has a huge trust fund, and there are plenty of rich kids throughout the other fraternities.

Fiji, sae , sigma chi, and sig ep are the richest fraternities and only recruit from wealthy high schools.

Kappa Sig is definitely richer than Sigma Chi, Delt too. Neither Delt nor Sigma Chi do all their recruiting in the rich high schools like SAE, Sig Ep, Kappa Sig, or Fiji. I assume your a Sigma Chi.
