pc 16 - honest opinions on each house from rush
by: a sorority sister :)If the PC 16 girls can comment who they thought did the best, what they did the best and what 'sealed' the deal for pref night or finding the right fit so that the recruitment team gets real feedback for next years rush, that would be amazing :)

I only ended up getting cut from one big 6 house so I think I have a pretty good perspective...
Open House: basically the same for every house. It was clear that the girls in "bottom" houses were kind of awkward talking to you and make conversation whereas I feel like the "Top" house girls at least tried to be more real. It was the same conversation at every house though so nothing too special. Only difference was pi phi, which did the annual dance party thing. I thought it was fun because I was with a girl I knew so it wasn't awkward, but a lot of my friends who were with girls they had never met thought it was weird and made Pi Phi seem entitled.
Philanthropy: Was super easy to tell who actually cared about philanthropy and who didn't. In terms of big 6, it was clear that Zeta, Tri Delt, and Chi O all were really passionate about their philanthropies. Kappa, Pi Phi, and Theta were not. Also went to A Phi, A Chi O, A E Phi, and KD and they all cared a lot too.
Sisterhood: Went to Zeta, Tri Delt, Chi O, Theta, Pi Phi, and A Phi. Theta and Pi Phi were really funny with their dances and performances. Tri Delt and Chi O showed a more special bond that the house has. Zeta did this speed dating game where I got to have just fun, down to earth, real conversations with girls. Don't remember what A Phi was like hahaha.

^^^ I agree and had a similar experience except on pref I had pi phi theta and aphi. I actually really enjoyed thetas pref night because I could see how close the girls were to each other. but I also knew a lot of the girls from high school so it's different for me I suppose. I cried almost immediately after walking into pi phi and I knew that was it and aphi had an awesome pref too but pi phi already had me...honestly wherever you end up, every sorority at UT is amazing. don't start stressing out this soon

Pref: went to Zeta, Pi Phi, and Theta. Pi Phi and Theta dropped the ball on pref. I loved them sisterhood day, but pref changed everything for me. They both had song performance and speech, but nothing too touching or special. I just didn't really feel like they put a lot of effort into it and didn't feel all that wanted. It felt more like they were telling me that they chose me to be there so therefore I will choose them too.On the other hand, Zeta pref made me cry. Between the speeches, song performances, and hand written letters that girls wrote to me, I felt wanted and loved and so special. The party went by so fast and I remember sitting there wanting to be a part of that community so badly. I ended up preffing Zeta and I went Zeta. Yes, I chose Zeta over Theta and Pi Phi so all y'all saying that Zeta is falling, you're wrong, sorry.
