fraternity rankings
by: Ut21Thinking about rushing next year, what are the fraternities rankings? I'm from a suburb and I am well off, but I don't have any connections. What houses can I realistically expect to get in to?

UT pretty much has 3 "tiers", with the "top" tiers being the relevant fraternities that hangout with hot girls (Big 6, AXO, APhi) and throw big parties and are the largest, the "middle" tiers hanging out with the lower sororities (DG, KD, ADPi, AZD), have decent but not huge numbers, and throw ok parties but usually throw solid roundups, and the bottom tiers who hangout with spirit groups, are small, and don't throw big parties.
Top:
Fiji,SAE
Sig Ep
ZBT, Kappa Sig, Sigma Chi
KA, Delt
Middle:
ATO, Pike, Sammy
Phi Psi, Phi Delt
Bottom:
Pi Kapp, AEPi, Lambda Chi
Those are really the only bottom tiers most people know of
If you don't have any connections the best you can get is probably middle tier. I'd try to find a connection or if you know a girl friends with guys in a top fraternity try to see if she can get you on their rush list. There's not a huge difference between fraternities in the same tier but there is a large diffference between each tier

Each of these different tiers are appealing in their own way or maybe you just can't get a bid from a higher house but any fraternity not on this list isn't relevant yet and won't be while you're at UT

Sigma Chi is ranked too high besides that this is on point
