nursing transfer question
by: Help lolI'm hopefully going to be transferring to UT next fall as a nursing major. I was wondering if I could rush and be in nursing. Most school have a completely separate nursing school that is not directly associated with undergrad (and there for you cannot be any form of greek life). Since UT does nursing different than most schools I was wondering if rushing would be allowed.

It's definitely possible. My chapter has quite a few of nursing majors as well as the other sororities on campus as well. There's really a wide range of majors and I've seen quite a few graduate with a neuroscience degree or a nursing degree. It just depends on yourself, and what you can handle. I would definitely say having sisters helps, because we all look out for each other and you can definitely find gals who already took the courses to help you out or people to study with.
I would just say it depends on you and what you can handle. I would just try recruitment and see how it goes.

You can be Greek and also be in the School of Nursing. It'll be rough and very time consuming, though, but what do you expect with such a high ranking nursing school? Rush if you think you'll be able to balance the commitments of clinicals/school work/etc and Greek related events!
