PKT is top bc the majority of the girls are from Dallas or Memorial and not the surrounding suburbs. They have a lot of money for the most part. Any of the OOS girls have money. Either money or they know someone. PKT is not all it's cracked up to be. Are they considered top? Sure but for those reasons. Chi O, Zeta, and TriDelt are also great sororities. The other ones are fairly good as well. These houses are only top if those things apply to you

It's sad that Texas is one of the few schools that actually puts sororities above others because some members are rich, while most other strong Greek schools rank their sororities off of being fun to party/hang out with, looks, overall rep, etc.

most UT sorority girls are privledged...living in nice apartments/dorms with full parental support, spending money, all of it. pkt has some really rich girls but so does aphi, zeta, etc. piphi has some 'standard' suburban girls in their mix while the lower houses have more of them. it's all little mixed up along with the stereotypes. I just would not call any of them 'middle class'. 'Upper middle class up to wealthy' is a better description for UT sorority girls.
