You have to be voted in by the girls ............
Also it's really looked down upon / can be viewed as cheating if you join a bottom sorority at UTSA and transfer in to UT simply bc that sorority is top.....

I want to know too. I'm at UTSA for one or two years then plan to transfer to UT because they have a better program for my major.

If I happen to join a sorority at UTSA that is also at UT I would imagine I would wish to transfer to my sorority too.

It's not intentional. Or cheating. It was my plan all along to do a year or two at UTSA first. I have a few friends going to UT now, I need to stay in SA to help family for awhile.

Honestly, it just depends on whether or not you click with the girls at the UT chapter. If you're the type who would have gotten a bid if you'd rushed here, you're good. BUT- I believe for most of all of our houses here, they are under no obligation to accept a transfer member if the members vote against it. You would then move into alumna status even though you are academically an undergrad.

If you end up in Zeta you're going to have huge problems trying to affiliate.

Bottom line, it's easier to get bids into sororities at UTSA or any other minor school. As Zeta at a minor school or a branch school typically is not the same material as a Zeta at UT.
