rushing a fraternity in the spring

I feel I have missed the boat on rushing this fall and was wondering how spring rush is. Is it frowned upon? Do all fraternities participate?

Most chapters are still recruiting (everyone but the top 5 or 6). The ones you've "missed the boat on" at this point probably won't spring recruit.
