It depends. If your looking for prestige don't affiliate. AXID doesn't always make quota. They are usually grouped in the lower tier. Grades aren't great. If you want a sorority exp. go ahead. They have a house, meal plan and social events with decent fraternities. It really depends.

Axid has a 3.3 Gpa and the highest is DG with a 3.6

go for it! it will be fun. they have a great house, a full social calendar and sweet girls. yes...they are considered bottom tier at UT (I don't think azd is top or mid anywhere) but that's not saying much....because at UT, if azd is considered bottom, than the tells you how great the whole UT sorority system is. you are already an azd, so experience it at a great school. i'm thinking that the ut chapter of azd is one of their strongest, so go for it.

Alpha xi is considered bottom tier for sure, but they have a great group of girls! I would give it a chance if I were you

You are at a great greek school and you may pass on the experience?! DON'T! Who cares if AXD is bottom at Texas. They are a bunch of great girls who have fun mixers/formals, a nice house and all that goes with being greek. You will make friends with them as well as girls from ALL of the other houses. If you choose not affiliate, you will see them running around campus with their letters on, having a blast and being part of an exclusive community at Texas. You will regret not doing it.
