state parties

go. it's a big deal. here in Houston, there were already 2 frats in town this weekend for rush functions; the brothers charter a bus, put their sorority women up in a nice hotel and have a meet n greet a brother's Memorial, West U (or similar) home.

If you've been to 2-3 events for the fraternity already, they may have planned on giving you a bid at the state party. Having rushed top and upper mid I can tell you they ALL give bids out at their state parties. I'd say that's where the majority are handed out. They're also usually really fun two day events with bar tabs and day parties. The fraternity's groupie girls will be there and they'll party with you. As a rushee you basically get a free weekend of partying and usually you'll also get a free hotel room to stay in with the rush team and girls. You're missing out
