legacy
by: FreshmanI am a legacy at a "PKT" house and I know a couple girls in the house in particular. They are all friends and don't really care for me, so I don't think I will want to join that sorority. Will being a legacy for a certain house affect my chances of getting into another house?

if you have people in houses who will make sure you get cut, then yeah you are so disliked. hope you keep a reeeeeeaaaaallll open mind

PKT have enough legacies going through that unless you're a big-time legacy (sitting sister, mom/ grandma is a national officer, mom was president of the Texas chapter & is super involved still, you're a legacy to the house through multiple family members), you're not at risk of other houses cutting you simply because of one legacy relationship. Most PNM's are a legacy to at least one house so if everyone cut legacy PNM's, there would be barely any girls left to pledge anywhere. PKT don't pledge the majority of their legacies; there are just too many.
BUT- you may have a bigger problem on your hands if these girls dislike you enough to tell their friends in other houses. If they really, actively hate you, they could ruin your entire rush. Now, if it's just a matter of y'all not really clicking, they probably don't have a reason to blackball you everywhere. You'll have to judge the seriousness of the situation for yourself.

Y'all seem to love this opportunity to make the OP feel bad. So a few girls don't care for a PNM. What else is new. As a top chapter member I'm not inclined to talk to OTHER chapters about a girl I don't care for. I'm too busy with my own chapter business. And frankly, what other chapters are doing for recruitment is not my concern. We will pledge who we want.

Didn't say I was "so disliked", I have friends in other houses just was wondering if I'd be cut automatically because of being a legacy somewhere else. But thank you for the info.
