purpose

Not every sorority member is passionate about philanthropy. Not every sorority member is passionate about parties. If you read through the purpose/mission statements of several sororities, you do get a clear theme: building friendship among women, to create opportunities to build character and self-awareness, & promoting education.

"to establish a perpetual bond of friendship among its members, to develop a stronger and more womanly character, to broaden the moral and intellectual life, and to assist its members in every possible way"\n\n\n\n\n

if you keep going on and on about how much you love philanthropy during recruitment you will look like you're trying too hard and are trying to give an answer. philanthropy is great and all but the reason people join is the people.
