What GPA is good enough for sororities in the mid tier? Is a 3.0 or something like a 3.3 too low for groups like KD, DG, or Adpi?

I think you would need to have at least a 3.2 with a good personality and likable traits to have a chance

if you're a freshman, I guess you'd be at a 3.75 at the lowest to have gotten in, so either you're a troll trying to start a stupid post or must be a soph and if so, will need a much higher GPA. And at all levels, the actives are smart. Those bottom tier chapters are all excellent students with tons of honors and achievements.

So if we are a sophomore with a GPA lower than 3.75 we are unlikely to get a bid? I thought the average would gave been lower for sophomores since they already taken college level classes

There are houses that will drop sophomores below a 3.6. Tier has no correlation with GPA standards. For instance DG and AEPhi are insane about GPA cutting.

If you're a soph I would say GPA only plays a big factor if you're below a 3, but the higher you are the better chances you are at getting a bid (saying that your personality is good and all that)
Having a higher GPA makes you more desirable to the sororities. They all want to raise their chapterGPA

So if you are a sophomore with a GPA that's around the new member GPA then you should be fine regarding that?

Here's the deal. The things you're asking are all in membership selection which is secret. We can guess at what other sororities do based on what our friends tell us or who ends up in a new member class, but none of us really knows for sure except for our own sorority.

Besides, you GPA is a done deal at this point. There isn't anything you can do about it, so worrying about who my cut you for it isn't productive and may drive you insane.

Some may cut you for your GPA. Some may not. Be yourself and keep an open mind and maximize your options. And get the hell off this site!

I was just wondering about the competitiveness of the GPA among sophomores rushing

And do most houses drop sophmores based on the 3.6 cutt off?
