rushing as a junior

Okay so I would really like to go through rush this fall as a junior at UT. I know it is extremely competitive and I need to have a thick skin and I am at a huge disadvantage...but it is something that is very important to me and I really want to give it a shot. Is it doable? Do I stand a chance?

If you are a girl I would only do it if you know girls in houses that could help get you in. If you don't know anyone you will have a very hard time.

Yes but most are graduating this year. I can definitely get recs and am well qualified academically etc.

If you really want it, you should try for it. Otherwise you will always wonder "what if."

I would find another avenue! You will be isolated to your pledge class which is freshmen and you will not fit in at all. Upper girls won't have much to do with you even if you know them.
