what frats for out of state freshman
by: JackSo I want to pledge a frat in the fall but I won't be on campus till August orientation. What frats are open to out of state guys who can't attend any summer rush events?

What??? I seriously want to know. I get the top 3 frats are probably out because they have their pledge class picked by end of summer. That's fine I don't want to be there anyway. Just from reading gr I would guess skulls, lambda chi, zetes would be open to out of state guys that nobody knows. Cmon guys. Help me out here.

Thanks for the reply. I'll do what you suggested. So lambda chi, skulls, and zetes I should stay away from? The dues on these middle tier ones you mentioned are very high and I'm already paying out of state tuition. What's wrong with the lower end frats. Thanks but I really want to know.

Lower tiers just generally have very little social presence. Lambda chi would be the best out of the three you mentioned though

Get in touch with the mid tier rush captains. Email or face book. Get to some parties late in August. If your not a geed you can get a bid to most of the mid tiers, Delt, Sigma Chi , ATO or Pike will still have some spots. Lower mid tier groups like Phi Psi,Phi Delt or Pi Kapp will still be giving out bids. I'd stay away from any lesser group . SAE ,Fiji and Sig Ep are done by late July. Kappa Sig and KA I don't know.
