how does frat rush work at ut
by: ooskidSo I'm coming from out of state, and I don't know Anyone at UT. I want to join a mid tier chill frat. Needs to be social with chill guys, but not a lot of hazing. When are the rush parties, are they during orientation week, or first week of classes? What frats would you recommend, and how would I go about getting a bid. Thanks.

A lot of rush happens over the summer, which makes being out of state a disadvantage. Top tier ends rush around July, middle tiers end at the beginning of school or like 1 week later. Go to stuff at orientation, and move in as early as you can before school. Top is around 10k/year, upper mid 6k-8k, mid 4k-6k

Rush is over the summer mostly. Go to stuff at orientations and during rush week which is the week before class starts, then pledge classes sort of finalize. I was out of state when I rushed and found it wasn't as hard as I thought to join a good fraternity that is both respected and I fit in with
