The lower the tier the more likely the chapter will try to hang on to legacies to fill up the pledge class

All houses take legacies, but no house takes all legacies. Make sure you actually ARE a legacy to the house you think you are- quite a few sororities don't consider grandmothers, stepmothers, or stepsisters to make you a legacy. I don't think any sororities consider aunts. Some sororities will look into the strength of your legacy in evaluating you- if your mom pledged ABC 30 years ago and hasn't done anything for ABC since, it will not help you as much as if your mom is active in her alumnae group, a national/regional officer, active in the official philanthropy, etc.

All houses consider grandmothers...

Chi Omega does not consider granddaughters legacies. Their national legacy policy only extends to mothers and sisters NOT grandmothers.

I'm not sure of anyone else's policy, but that is for sure Chi Omega's so there's at least one that doesn't count grandmothers so you should stop giving out wrong information.

All houses consider only sister, mother, and grandmother relatives to be legacies with the following exceptions:

AEPhi- also considers step-sister, step-mother, step-grandmother
XO- does NOT consider grandmother
DDD- does NOT consider grandmother, but does consider step-sister and step-mother
DG- also considers step-sister and step-mother
KAT- also considers great-grandmother
KD- also considers step-sister and step-mother
KKG - also considers great-grandmother
ZTA- also considers great-grandmother

Way to much information for someone who doesn't care

Rude. I'm sure there are PNM's out there with legacy questions. When I went through, there were some girls who (wrongly) thought they were legacies due to aunts and cousins.
