by: helpis it hard for a transfer coming into junior year to get affiliated with greek life? Even if they had been in a sorority at their other school?

For sororities, it honestly depends on what they're looking for. Some will have open arms and let you affiliate, while some will make you go through a process before affiliating. The process is different for every sorority. If you're already in a sorority transferring to UT & want to affiliate with a different chapter of your sorority, you have a decent chance of getting in since you're already initiated and a sister. However, depending on the process your sorority stands by, there is a possibility you may not be able to. I know girls who transferred to UT and affiliated as an incoming junior, so it's possible. It's intimidating since you're in a new environment, but don't let that stop you from getting to know the girls. If they see that you're willing to go out of your way to meet them, you'll make a good impression on them and raise your chances of affiliating. Or you may see something you don't like about that chapter and decide to not affiliate. Anything can happen. Besides that, make sure everything else is in good standing such as your social media and how you leave your chapter at your former university. All of that can also impact your chances of the girls liking you and allowing you to affiliate. You got this!
