University of Texas at Austin - UT 3.5 Greek life at this school is very materialistic/superfici al and looks-based. White people dominate the top houses with just a few token non-white people within the top houses. Many of the top houses also have problem with hazing. However the houses are dope especially Fiji, SAE, Chi O and Tridelt

University of Texas at Austin - UT 4.8 If you want to come to a huge school and find your people greek life is a must to try out. organized activities and pledge classes not too large that you can find friends that have similar interests - the parties are amazing and can make deeper friendships going through shared experiences. Networking is big bonus

University of Texas at Austin - UT 4.0 If you can't find your people at any of the sororities or fraternities at UT then you were not properly socialized as a child. There are sooo many different flavors and subgroups that it would be impossible to not find a handful of fun new friends at most if not all the houses. Those with a laundry list of upfront negative opinions based on cliches and stereotypes will have the hardest time. Have an open mind, we are all just people - xo

University of Texas at Austin - UT 2.3 Greek life, like anything else, is what you make of it. UT has a competitive recruitment that in the end leaves you wondering if it was all worth it. Some feel it's the gateway to social status but honestly, it's pretty over hyped.
