The charter was "transferred" to the ut Austin chapter.Tx rho at ut Austin was not founded before UT. Both Phi delt, Fiji and Kappa sig were founded before tx rho at ut.

Sigma Alpha Epsilon - ΣΑΕ Fraternity at University of Texas at Austin - UT 4.8 The university of Texas was founded in 1883 and the Texas Rho chapter was founded in 1882. We have largest endowment of any fraternity in the country and the nicest fraternity house in the country. This is not a contest.

Sigma Alpha Epsilon - ΣΑΕ Fraternity at University of Texas at Austin - UT 3.4 Their PC '13 has 20 something kids going to ACC... and their entire PC relies on their standing carried on from high school. There are some great guys though, and throw fun parties. I would say they are sloping downhill, but honestly who cares.
