Good group of guys. Definitely a middle-tier fraternity but they seem to be on the rise. House is in a cool location and seems big enough for a ~30 person pledge class.

Overall, Acacia is a pretty solid fraternity. A lot of reviews are negative, which is a bit unfair. While Acacia is not the "frattiest" nor "most greek" fraternity, it embodies and is characterized predominantly by a trait most seem to forget--brotherhood. AKAK definitely provides a fraternal experience, in the sense that a very strong bond between the members is noticeable. They treat women well, and what their pledges lack in count is balanced by their high standards of community and respect.

These guys are honestly awesome. No one really gives them a chance, but they're better than what people suggest. The house is great and the guys are not douches.

Having a greek word instead of letters doesn't mean anything. However having weird, awkward members, consistently small pledge classes full of rejects/bottom-tier leftovers, a poor social reputation, and just a try-hard culture based off TFM does mean they're inferior. No one would confuse them for a middle-tier fraternity.

these guys may not be the top, but they're still decent guys. I've never been treated poorly or ignored by any of them, and they aren't terribly full of themselves or douchey. just because they're a word instead of letters doesn't make them less legitimate, and at least they know what their word/letters mean.

Not Greek, and not one Greek would tell you Acacia is anything other than a bottom-dweller in the Greek community.

As a former pledge in this fraternity, I would like to say this is probably the most dysfunctional brotherhood on the UT campus. Pledgeship is a joke, the president has to beg the actives to attend events and there are absolutely no sorority relations. If I went through rush again I would accept my Pike bid in a heartbeat.
