spring recruitment
by: TransferThere has yet to be any information on sorority spring recruitment posted anywhere. Does anyone have any idea when this will take place and which sororities will be doing it?

What did they do if the girls don't live in the dorms? Like if they live in apartments? Do they just not get bids or do they mail them out or something?

Apparently Theta has a Spring Pledge Class too? I didn't even know they were participating? Guess they did an independent COB? They have a new pledge class of 7 girls. I am seriously so confused about this year's spring rush...I think next year they should make it mandatory for houses to either participate in one organized spring recruitment OR opt out of the process altogether---no more "we're going to get more than 5 new girls on our own and not do Panhel's recruitment" BS.

One thing to keep in mind is a sorority like pi phi hasn't done spring recruitment for years and so maybe they just didn't know completely how to handle an informal open event? It was new to them and that doesn't necessarily mean they wanted to make it awkward or kick girls out at a certain time. I personally didn't know any girls in the house so I thought it was nice that they gave the oppurtunity for me to come instead of just picking girls with connections or friends.

Totally agree. Alpha Phi didn't even give anyone else a chance. I mean, if you're going to recruit girls, just participate in the recruitment that everyone else is participating in---you might be surprised and find great girls that you didn't even know existed.

I'm not a PiPhi and I know people will accuse me of being one after I write this, but PiPhi won spring recruitment. I've seen pics of all the spring pledge classes, and, just judging by looks, theirs is the best. But, gotta say that I thought all the spring pledge classes were pretty good. I was impressed.

I just tried to look this up and see if I agree with you. I could only find pics of Pi Phi, Tri Delt, and Theta's PC. It's pretty sketch no other chapters posted pics on insta or fb of their new class tbh. But of those three chapters I'd say they are all pretty close and no one really "won". Pi Phi's is slightly better looking than Tri Delt's and Tri Delt's is slightly better looking than Theta's. Honestly if you mixed some of them up though I really dont think anyone would notice since they are very similar.
