rush
by: sophomoredo most sororities take in sophomore pledges, or are do some strictly take freshmen? im wondering because im transferring into UW as a sophomore next year and want to rush!

I'd say most chapters take Sophomores. The thing is, often they are Sophomores that are already friends with women in the chapter. Transfers aren't looked down on, I don't think, it's just that they don't have the advantage of knowing members already in the house that other Sophomores might. I'd say go in being personable, prepared, and open-minded, and you should be fine. Do keep in mind you'll likely be required to live in the chapter facility, though, so be prepared to live in a sorority house your Junior (or Senior) year.
