Okay so this is not me saying that a phi doesn't self promote, but I just want to point out that literally so does every single house. Check out the "ranking after first socials/tailgates" thread there's a million g phis promoting their new pledge class. And the string of obviously self promoting posts on pi phi's page. Or the multiple AXO posts on whatagoodly right after bid day. The list of offenders goes on and on.

Hit it on the head. I mean, look at DG's rankings on the sorority page and then at APhi's--it's clear from time stamps that APhi is bashing. Same thing with AXiD---it's like they can't stand that AXiD isn't failing. Also, the ONLY pro-GPhi post on the new pledge class thread from this weekend that hasn't been meanly attacked or given lots of thumbs down is the post that lists them as the best along with APhi. Not a thumb down on that post, and lots of thumbs up---weird, huh?

You think AXO self-promotes on whatsgoodly? You have to be kidding. APhi is ALL over that thing. I wouldn't be surprised if they made every member download the app and post daily.

I find it interesting that you call out axo and gphi as self promoting when both houses were equally praised/listed on whatsgoodly as the other houses that had a good recruitment

It's the frequency of promotion that's the problem with Aphi. Also the bashing. I feel like another sorority can't get a compliment around here without being immediately attacked. It's like---let's play up DG having a pledge class full of legs. Must mean there pledge class is random and bad. Guess that means APhi is moving up to top tier! Or, PiPhi got a good, diverse pledge class, and they get props for that. Must mean they are self-promoting! Let's downplay their pledges, because if they did well that would mean APhi might not be moving up yet! Or GPhi got such an average class...yawn. Clearly APhi's is much better and GPhi is no longer top house! And God forbid ChiO did well. What? That's not supposed to happen! The only middle tier house allowed to move up is APhi! And don't get me started on AXiD. Isn't there a rule that a new sorority can't be good? I mean, don't steal APhi's thunder, AXiD---how rude.

Honestly, you're right that other houses self promote, but just b/c a house gets praise for their pledge class (AXO, PiPhi, GPhi), doesn't mean that it's members from those houses that wrote those posts. I'm not in any of those sororities, and I think they all had really great pledge classes. In fact, I wrote that in the bid day thread. I think APhi had a great pledge class too. I think what bothers people about APhi is the stuff they do in the real world (off greekrank), and also some of the stuff they do on here. It was obvious to me that it was an APhi that was ripping on PiPhi and GPhi every chance they got on that bid day thread, for example. It's like they are super threatened all the time. They should be proud of their achievements, instead of insecure little girls bashing other houses and promoting their own. Other houses might promote, but no one bashes their perceived competition as much as APhi. It's that mean-spirited lack of confidence that is holding them back, imo.
