gameday during rush

by:

Since there's a home game during rush, are we allowed to tailgate? Or should we not drink or party at all to not risk a bid? I don't want to do anything to get in trouble and get tossed out of recruitment (and I have older friends at other schools who were warned that drinking at all during recruitment would get them kicked out immediately) but I've been looking forward to my first game ever since I decided to come here and don't want to wait the extra week if I don't have to!

You can go to tailgates. Girls in houses won't be able to go to those tailgates so they won't be watching you. I suggest not going out the night before a round because girls can tell if you're super hungover and that's a bit of a turn off. But You can go to the tailgates

Hard to believe rush is held on the same weekend as a home game. This school doesn't take its Greek system very seriously, does it?

recruitment is a week long or longer process at every single school (including wisconsin), if you have a football team, recruitment will overlap with at least a single game if not more.

the only exception is if your school strictly does spring rush (IU)

Grow up

There isn't a home game during rush. Alabama is away. The first home game on the 12th is post recruitment.

Yeah I was talking about the game on the 12th. I won't be stupid I just want to enjoy my first game in Madison and then still get to celebrate with my new sistrs the next day and not worry about getting kicked out of recruitment. Thanks guys!

If you're talking about fraternity tailgates, there won't be any because they are in a dry rush period as well. Be weary about going out for the game, you don't want to be hungover for the second day of first round, girls notice and it's a huge turnoff.

Everyone is being dumb commenting on this post... YES you can and should go tailgate and enjoy the football game this Saturday! It will not affect your recruitment AT ALL because you will be done with preference and im almost positive that all chapters will be done with voting because they have to do that Friday after pref! So you will already be placed in a house (you just don't know it)

Accidentally pressed submit.. But yes you just won't know what house you're in yet, but really what you do on Saturday won't change anything! You still cannot talk to active members of any sororities though until bid day on Sunday! Have fun this weekend!
