numbers, please
by: ?????At many schools with strong Greek systems a certain percentage of girls don't make it into a house. At U. of Washington (Seattle), for example, 50% of the girls get cut. At Mizzou, Michigan and Indiana it is about 40%. At UVa, UGa. and Vanderbilt the numbers are even higher. What can I expect during rush? What is the percentage of girls who won't make it at Madison?

lol Greek life here is miniscule compared to those. Less than 10% would get totally cut, maybe 15% get cut from traditional houses. And a lot of those cut were either because a) they weren't serious about rush in the first place or b) quit halfway through. You'll be fine.

What does "not serious about rush" mean? I'm only a junior in high school and have completed my college trips. I will be applying to schools early this fall. Most of the schools with which I am familiar have a very structured rush week where every potential new member visits every house. If the PNM makes grade cuts and has recommendations, they can go back to a certain number of houses. Throughout the week the houses make their cuts and the PNMs make their prefs. Lots of girls don't get asked back anywhere, sadly. Is that how it works at UW?
