i dont get all the hype about azd. they just got on campus now and will not have a house during recruitment. that hurts so much as one of the recruitment days is literally "house tours"
also all the girls bid are rejects from recruitment in the past and having met a lot of them, are just kinda off

I don't think they'll have that much of a disadvantage because they'll have a house to at least show and the fact that it'll be ready by the time that pledge class can live in I think they'll be fine in that aspect

Right but it still doesn't diminish the fact that many (though not all) of the AZD girls are rejects from other houses and are a bit weird.
It's kinda crazy for anyone to think they can climb to the XO/AEPhi level in their 2nd rush on campus. Frankly, it's insulting to XO and AEPhi.

It's rude of you to claim they were just rejects from the other houses. I know girls who joined AZD because it was new to campus and they would be apart of the founding pledge class. And even if some were, the rush process isn't perfect, some awesome girls get "rejected". We aren't saying they'll for sure get to that level but they will get some benefit of the doubt. XO and AePhi have been around for awhile and pulling the same girls every year. AZD is new, we don't know how they'll do.

im sorry, but this coming year azd, at best, competes to stay on the same level as theta and tridelt and at worst falls into a purgatory between them and sdt.
to put them on the same level as aephi/xo is a stretch. Both of them are established houses, with physical houses and years of experience going through formal rush and getting at least decent quality pledge classes
to predict them on the same level as aphi/piphi is ridiculous. recently, both of those houses have been considered to be vying with axo for 4th best on campus. it's more of an insult to those 4 houses then a compliment to azd.
people understate how hard it is to put on a good rush when it is literally your first time ever doing it, especially when competing with houses that have been doing it for a long time.
it doesn't have anything to do with azd girls being "rejects," they aren't. it has everything to do with experience and tradition, which are both essential to put on a good recruitment

(AXiD cont): want it to be. This fall's rush will determine whether they move up, move down or just remain in limbo. As someone pointed out, they have what I prefer to call a "diverse" membership (some "re-rushers", some Greek newbies), so it's really hard to stereotype them. Their new house looks cool---I think it will help them a lot.
And that's pretty much it. Tiers honestly don't matter as much as finding the house who's niche fits you.

Yes and no. Couldn't see an SDT in Gphi or a Gphi in Theta. Can't see a Kappa as a TriDelt or DG in AePhi. My point? These are generalizations/stereotypes and there are general characteristics and groupings for certain types of girls where some people would be a better fit vs others

Not every girl will be happy in every house, each house has its stereotype for a reason, but there is probably more than one home for each girl
