rushing as a sophomore
by: SophomoreWhat is it like to rush as a sophomore/what are your chances of getting a bid if you aren't friends with someone in a house? I went to orientation as a freshman, but then decided not to continue. I really regretted that freshman year and now I for sure want to rush.

Prepare to be asked why you didn't rush last year. Keep in mind that many houses prefer freshmen over sophomores because they're more likely to be involved in the freshman pledge class, and pay dues for four years. Not saying you won't get a bid to a house you love, but cuts may be a little harsher. Lastly, are you cool with mostly hanging around freshmen, who will be the majority of your pledge class if you get a bid?
