Super interesting! I had heard that things hadn't really changed from the sorority side---mostly because the sororities don't tend to get kicked off/come back on as often. My mom was at WI and in a sorority in the early '90s (so I am a legacy and will be rushing this year), and she said that what your aunt and uncle said was basically spot-on (super minor differences, mostly opinion-based). She did say that AXD really stuggled with recruitment, and that's why their numbers were so low. It didn't surprise her that they left after she graduated. She was happy to hear that they are back on campus now. She also said that no one really cared about tiers when she was there, or even talked about them. The parties and bars you went to mattered more than which sorority you were in.

Not true. My neighbor was Greek in the mid nineties (she graduated in '97) and she said the ranks were: Kappa, DG, AXO followed by Aphi, Gphi, Chio, (AEPhi, SDT) PiPhi, Theta and Tridelt. As for guys it was DU, SAE, Sigma Chi, Kappa Sig, AEPi, Phi Delt, Sig Ep, Sammy, Theta Chi, Fiji, Chi phi, Beta
